Former NBA star Ben Gordon was arrested Saturday in Los Angeles on a felony robbery charge.
Gordon, 34, was accused of punching the manager of a downtown apartment
complex where he is renting, pulling a knife on the man and taking money
that Gordon said was his security deposit.
He spent the weekend in jail and was released on $50,000 bail early Tuesday. His agent, Raymond Brothers, declined to comment.
Gordon was the No. 3 pick in the 2004 draft out of UConn, which won the NCAA title that year.
He won the Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2005 as a rookie with the Chicago Bulls.In an 11-year NBA career, Gordon played for the Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Bobcats and Orlando Magic, averaging 14.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
